FAQ for Garage Conversions

1. Could we have a garage conversion?

Yes! All garages can be converted into a comfortable living space.

2. What about new houses?

They can be converted the same as any other garage, if you would like a vaulted ceiling in a truss roof then there would be more work involved in comparison to a traditional property, but as truss roof specialists we can convert any garage.

3. What service do you offer?

We shall personally help you design your garage to suit your requirements. From the architects drawings to the final product, we do it all. All you have to do is decorate and carpet.

4. What about building regulations and planning?

We specialise in garage conversions and know the building regulations and planning process inside out. We meet the building inspector on site through out all stages of the conversion through to the final inspection. Shortly after you will be issued with a final certificate to prove your garage has been completed to current building regulations.

5. How do stage payments work?

A 1st stage payment is required within the first week once you have met the teams and the work is progressing well. A 2nd stage payment is required once the plastering has been completed and the 2nd fix joinery is about to begin. A final payment is due once all the work has been completed to your satisfaction.

6. Do you guarantee your work?

Yes! All the work is guaranteed with a five year contract.

7. Who carries out the work on our garage?

We have teams of full-time professional garage converters who will solely work on your garage. A site supervisor will take a personal interest in your garage to ensure all work is carried out to the highest standard. Together we will personally guide you through all aspects of your garage conversion from start to completion.

8. How long will it take?

If your local council requires planning permission this will take a minimum of 8 weeks to get passed. The work on site will vary between 4 and 6 weeks depending on the size and design of your garage conversion.

9. Will there be much mess?

The good thing about garages is that they are separate to your main living space, so the mess and disruption is maintained in one area and kept to a minimum.
